Mary Burks
Owner & Coach
With over 30 years of experience in health and fitness, Mary continues an undying passion to help individuals obtain their personal goals toward living a healthy lifestyle. She leads by example, always guiding others to find a balance in the demands and challenges of life. Her philosophy is simple: make a commitment to take care of yourself. Fitness is crucial to life! Ensure that your body is functioning well – on the inside and the outside – so that you can continue to live a healthy lifestyle! Mary opened Lifeworx Fitness in 2010, setting out to create a place for people who wanted their gym to feel like a second home – and she’s done just that.
Danielle Stinson
Manager & Coach
In both personal and professional realms, Danielle has been connected to the world of fitness for over fifteen years. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Danielle’s first high school job was at a local fitness studio, where she was exposed to world-class trainers and given the incredible opportunity to instruct various fitness classes, from Pilates to cardio-dance to sculpting. During these years of dabbling in a variety of fitness routines, Danielle was finally introduced to weightlifting in 2009 and found her niche! Varying her methods enabled Danielle to continue her crusade of pursuing fitness with the “big-picture” intention of living a longer, happier and healthier life.
Troy Stinson
Coach
There is nothing Troy is more proud of in his life than his achievements in the world of competitive fitness and weight lifting. Troy was never an athlete. He spent his youth struggling with his weight and never stuck to a regular exercise routine. In 2008, he was introduced to CrossFit and began the trek to making some drastic lifestyle changes. His dedication to his training has brought him to the point where he can finally call himself an athlete. He currently holds certifications as a fitness trainer and an Olympic Lifting coach. Though he would never boast, Troy holds the most impressive resume of competitive appearances at the CrossFit Regional level, with five years as a team competitor and two consecutive years as an individual at the Super Regional. His vast competitive experience has given him the tools to develop the Lifeworx Advanced Class and the future competitors of Lifeworx!
Brynja Thompson
Coach
After 10 years of competitive club volleyball, 4 years of high school varsity sports, 4 years of collegiate Division I volleyball at New Mexico State University and The University of Florida and nearly 15 years of coaching experience, Brynja finally found began coaching group fitness in 2016. This is her path to longevityt! Brynja holds many coaching certifications including: IMPACT, Positive Coaching Alliance L4, Concussion in Sports, USA Volleyball Coaching Accreditation Program L2 and many more. Brynja strives to encourage the success of others and help everyone believe that there is a place in weight training for all!
